II. Planning and Construction

1. Natural conditions and advantages of port opening

Huludao Port is known as a natural good port in history. The main features are: First, the water depth conditions of the wicker ditch bank line are good. The -4.5 m isobath is about 450m from the shore, and the cover layer is digable. The -10 m isobath is 5 kilometers from the shore. , Suitable for the construction of deep-water berths, and the port construction cost is low. The second is that the tidal current velocity is low, the sand content is low, and the coast is in a state of dynamic equilibrium. A small amount of sand transport along the coast under the action of waves is difficult to enter the port area under the protection of natural headlands and breakwaters. Therefore, the siltation of the harbor and waterway is slight, easy to maintain, and the maintenance cost is low. Third, the transportation network is complete and the location advantage is obvious. Huludao City is located in the western Liaoning Corridor, which is the main transportation link connecting Northeast and North China. There are five major arteries of transportation on the east and west of Beijing-Kazakhstan Railway, Beijing-Shenzhen Express Railway, Beijing-Shenyang Expressway, National Highway 102, and the coastal road connecting the Liaoning coastal five-point and one-line routes. Pass by. To the north, there are Jincheng Railway, Pakistan-Singapore Railway, Jinchao Expressway, Jinfu Expressway and several provincial roads radiating to northern Liaoning and Mengdong. These traffic arteries are connected to Huludao Port through the Shugang Highway and Shugang Special Railway, and the conditions for collecting and transporting are excellent.

Has been completed: 5 general berths above 10,000 tons (hydraulic structure 70,000 tons), and corresponding sparse roads, access channels, storage yard roads, various warehouses, breakwaters, production management buildings and public supporting facilities ;

1 30,000-ton product oil (50,000-ton hydraulic structure) and 5,000-ton (10,000-ton hydraulic structure) liquid chemical berth wharf, and four 5,000-cubic-meter diesel storage tank systems

Projects under construction: 4 50,000-ton general-purpose berths (hydraulic structure 100,000-ton), 70,000-ton waterway project (14.6 km), west breakwater extension project (extended from the original 800-meter breakwater by 675 meters) Petrochemical terminal supporting tank area project, 12 liquid chemical storage tanks. (70,000 cubic meters)

2. Port positioning and overall planning

Huludao Port is an important part of the coastal port group in Liaoning; it is an important support for Huludao to develop the port-based industry and expand its opening to the outside world; it is one of the important guarantees for the sustainable and coordinated development of the Liaoning coastal economic belt; Convenient estuary for communication. Therefore, Huludao Port is positioned as an important local port in Liaoning Province.

The overall planning of the port area is 4.2 kilometers along the natural coastline and 9.2 kilometers along the port. It forms 7 square kilometers of land and 10 square kilometers of water. Construction of two harbor basins, four operating areas, and 34 berths. 10 oil berths are arranged inside the west breakwater. The planned maximum berth is a 100,000-ton crude oil berth, and a large liquid berth is reserved. In the central part of the port area, a bulk operation area is planned, with 9 bulk cargo berths planned, a planned maximum tonnage of 100,000 tons, and 6 general cargo berths. The east jetty in the port area is planned as a multi-purpose and container operation area, with 7 planned berths and 1 large dry bulk berth reserved. After completion, the total scale will be 200 million tons.

3. Overview of current construction

Since the construction started in 2005, after several years of development and construction, the Wujiogou Port Area has now built 7 berths with a capacity of more than 10,000 tons, and 4 berths with a capacity of 50,000 tons are under construction. By the end of this year, 30 million tons of comprehensive port throughput will be formed. ability.
